final piece

this is the finished final design of my cookbook

i then added pictures and institutional information 

i then started to add detail of area where title was, blurb, and biography

i then changed the yellow pieces of drawings to white so the colour didn't class with the yellow background

i decided to change the colour of the background from white to yellow, from my draft design

colour scheme

monochromatic- colour scheme
i have used a mint green shades (shown below) with a white colour which mixes well.the monochromatic scheme is not good as it makes it harder to identify the drawings at an original state 

analogous- colour scheme
i have used 3 main colours of red, yellow and orange with again a plain colour of white as well. however for this one i have used one shade of red (highest saturation) and with yellow and orange i have see different shades of the one colour (shown below)

complimentary- colour scheme
for this one i have chose opposite colours of red and blue. i have only used one shade of red at again a high saturation, however for the blue i have chose to use a variety of different shades(shown below)

final draft

this is my final draft which I'm going to base on for my final piece but I'm going to make alterations 

then using tracing paper i went over them doing the shape in full black ink and then each detailed bit separate in black ink then the scanned these in and put them into Photoshop to change the colour of them

these are the more complicated drafting ideas which i did in fine liner 

these are the more simple ideas for drafting ideas. the one at the bottom right ones are the photos i took which i made into a book cover 

Digital type

these are the digital type that i chose to print out from dafont.com and analyse why and why not they wouldn't fit with my cook book 

Hand drawn type

these are my try out designs which i chose to write a load of different types to find one that eventually i really liked

i chose one of the ideas from above to esculate to writing the whole alphabet in lower and upper case ,plus numbers and signs 

i put my writing onto photoshop and arranged it to make it look more professional and something which you could see on dafont.com
